Today, I’d like to share a brief introduction to Finland’s education system. I had the opportunity to work with Finnish professionals in the telecommunications industry, which gave me insights into their approach to learning.

Finland’s education system is built on three core principles: equity, individuality, and lifelong learning. Early childhood education, in particular, is centered around learning through play, fostering children’s social skills, communication abilities, and curiosity. Education begins by helping children develop empathy, independence, and a sense of belonging in society.

Parental involvement is also highly valued. For example, Finland provides maternity packages that encourage early reading habits. Childcare services are designed to be universally accessible and affordable, ensuring high-quality instruction in small class settings. Education is regarded as a fundamental right, adopting an approach that nurtures children’s ability to learn rather than simply delivering knowledge.

Additionally, Finland offers flexible childcare options and income-based tuition support, creating an environment where every child has equal access to quality education.

It’s a system that prioritizes not just academic excellence but also the well-being and holistic development of each child—an approach that holds valuable lessons for all of us.

今日はフィンランドの教育を簡単にご紹介させてください。フィンランドの方とは通信のビジネスを通じてご一緒に仕事をさせていただいた経験があります。フィンランドの教育システムは、公平性、個性、そして生涯学習を重視しているようです。幼児教育は遊びを中心に進められ、協調性、コミュニケーション能力、好奇心を育む。子どもは社会性や共感力、自立心を学ぶことから教育は始まるようです。親の関与も重要視され、早期読書を促すマタニティパッケージの提供。普遍的で手頃な価格の保育が整備され、少人数制で質の高い指導を実現。教育は権利として保障され、**「学ぶ力を育てる」**アプローチを採用。所得に応じた費用負担や柔軟な保育選択が可能で、すべての子どもが平等に学べる環境を整えているようです。

Today, we had the opportunity to engage in an open and relaxed discussion with local influencers about making Suwa Kindergarten an even more vibrant and appealing place for the future.

One key takeaway from our conversation was a simple yet essential idea: “A kindergarten should be created by the community, nurtured by the community, and loved by the community.” We want to cherish this belief as we shape the path ahead.

As a first step, we decided to explore the idea of establishing an “open community space” during the spring graduation season. There may not be fancy café lattes, but it will be a place where teachers, parents, and local residents can casually gather and engage in meaningful conversations. After all, word-of-mouth spreads most naturally through these small, everyday interactions.
